– Double Stuf Oreos – Chocolate Melting Wafers – Sprinkles, Edible glitter sprinkles, chopped nuts, crushed candies, and crushed cookies are optional toppings. – Colored Candy Melts – if you want the Oreos to be dipped in color.
– Microwave-Safe Bowl – Fork or Slotted Spoon – Parchment Paper – Oreo Mold (optional)
Heat the melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl at 30-second increments, stirring in between. Add 2 or 3 Oreos to the melted chocolate. Using a fork or spoon, gently cover the cookies in chocolate.
Take the Oreos out one at a time using a fork or slotted spoon. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off before placing the cookie to dry on the parchment paper.
If adding sprinkles to each Oreo, allow the cookies to set for a few minutes. Allow 30 minutes for the chocolate to harden completely, or put them in the fridge for 15 minutes.
Once the chocolate-covered oreos are dry you can add them to gift boxes. They make great gifts!
