  • (1) 8 ounce package of cream cheese (room temperature).
  • 1 tbsp Ranch dressing mix (packet)
  • 1.25 cup Sharp cheddar cheese, shredded. Shred your own cheese for a better taste.
  • 2 small Jalapenos, diced.
  • 2 tbsps fresh diced chives
  • 1 tbsp red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped finely.
  • 1/2 cup panko
  • 1 tbsp butter


  • Beat cream cheese with a mixer until smooth.
  • Add the remaining ingredients (except for pecans and panko). Fold the ingredients into the cream cheese with a spatula. Chill the cheese mixture for 30 minutes.
  • Once the cheese mixture has chilled, form it into a ball (or whatever shape you desire) and wrap it in plastic, placing it back in the refrigerator to chill for at least two hours.
  • Next, combine panko, pecans, and butter into a small pan. On medium heat, stir the ingredients until they are lightly toasted and brown, approximately 5 minutes. Cool completely.
  • Roll and cover the ball of cheese in the cooled panko/pecan mixture.
