  • Parchment Paper or Wax Paper
  • Oreo Silicone Mold (OPTIONAL)
  • Candy Gift Boxes (OPTIONAL)
  • Cake Pop Sticks - if you're making them into Oreo Pops. (OPTIONAL)

Ingredients

Chocolate-Covered Oreo Ingredients:

  • 20 ounces Double Stuf Oreos Package or Regular Oreos Package - A 20-ounce package holds 40 Oreos and will give you 3.5 dozen Chocolate-Covered Oreos.
  • 24 ounces Chocolate Melting Wafers - For 3.5 dozen dipped Oreos, you'll need 24 ounces of chocolate. You can also use white chocolate if you prefer.

Optional Ingredients:

  • Sprinkles, Edible Glitter Sprinkles, Chopped Nuts, Crushed Candies, and Crushed Cookies are optional toppings.
  • Colored Candy Melts - if you want the Oreos dipped in color instead of chocolate, purchase candy melts. They offer colors like pink, purple, blue, and more!

Instructions

How To Make Creative Chocolate-Covered Oreos

  • Heat the melting wafers in a microwave-safe bowl at 30-second increments, stirring in between until the wafers are melted. Or follow the melting instructions for the particular wafers you purchase.
  • Place a couple of sheets of parchment paper or wax paper down on a surface.
  • Add 2 or 3 Oreos to the melted chocolate in the bowl. Using a fork or spoon, gently cover the cookies in chocolate to ensure all sides are covered.
  • Take the Oreos out one at a time using a fork or slotted spoon. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off before placing the cookie to dry on the parchment or wax paper. Repeat the above steps until all of the cookies are dipped in chocolate.
  • If you’re adding sprinkles or toppings to each Oreo, allow the cookies to set for a few minutes before adding them on top.
  • Allow 30 minutes for the chocolate to harden completely, or put them in the fridge for 15 minutes. DO NOT add them to a gift box until they’re completely dry.

How To Make Creative Peace Signs

  • If you want to make a peace sign as pictured above, ensure the chocolate is set first. Use leftover melted chocolate or frosting to add the peace sign design to the cookie, and then cover it with sprinkles. You can use your finger, or a cake-decorating brush is easier.
