This easy Boursin Cheese Appetizer is UNBELIEVABLE. The chef’s kiss is the soft cheese baked in a crispy panko coating.

This post is about how to bake Boursin Cheese to appetizer perfection.
This might be one of the tastiest and easiest appetizers I have EVER made! Boursin Cheese delivers a spreadable (slightly crumbly) cheese at a dollar no one should complain about. Buy the garlic and fine herb flavor; your palate will thank you.
So, what happens when you roll this creamy cheese in egg and Panko and then bake it? The chef’s kiss.
I grabbed this appetizer recipe from the Cheese Gal because she swore it was a crowd-pleaser. So much so that she recommends making more than one because they go so fast.
Drizzle spicy honey and sprinkle rosemary sprigs on top after it has baked. Those components add more dimension to this app but certainly aren’t mandatory. Enjoy!
Crispy Boursin Cheese Appetizer

Ingredients You’ll Need:
- Boursin Cheese, 5.3 ounces, 1 Box (I used the garlic and fine herb flavor.)
- 1 Egg (beaten)
- Panko Bread Crumbs (You must use Panko, or it won’t be as crispy.)
- Salt & Pepper
- Fresh Rosemary Sprigs, chopped. (These add much flavor but can be optional.)
Optional Gourmet Crackers:
- Fig & Olive Crisp Crackers (If you don’t live near a Trader Joe’s, they’re available on Amazon.)

Equipment Needed:
- 3 Small Bowls (one bowl for the flour, one for the Panko, and one for the egg.)
- Parchment Paper (I ran out and lined my sheet with foil.)
- Oven
How To Make This Crispy Boursin Cheese Appetizer, Step-By-Step

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 410 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Step 2: Grab three small bowls. Add flour to one bowl, Panko to the second bowl, which has also been seasoned with salt and pepper, and one beaten egg to the third bowl.

Step 3: Remove the foil from the Boursin cheese and coat it in flour. It is essential to coat all sides of the cheese. Dust off the excess flour.

Step 4: Dip the cheese into the egg bowl and, lastly, into the Panko bowl. Again, remember to cover all sides of the cheese (per the Cheese Gal’s instructions). If you leave any side uncoated, it will be less crispy.

Step 5: Carefully place the coated Boursin cheese on the lined baking sheet and into the oven. Bake at 410 degrees F for 20-25 minutes or until crispy brown. Per the Cheese Gal, broil for a minute or so to brown the outside (only if needed).

Step 6: After baking, carefully place the cheese onto a desired serving plate, drizzle honey, and garnish the crispy baked cheese with chopped (fresh) Rosemary sprigs.
