Crispy Zero-Carb Onion Rings

Ingredients You’ll Need:
- 1 Onion, sliced whole (I used a white onion, but traditionally onion rings are made with a Vidalia, Walla Walla, or Maui onion.)
- Shredded Cheese (I used a Mexican blend, but you can also use Cheddar or Colby Jack.)
Ingredients For The Bloomin’ Onion Sauce:
- 1/2 cup Mayonnaise (Or Greek Yogurt)
- 2 tbsp Ketchup (or Sugar-Free Ketchup)
- 2 tsp Horseradish
Equipment Needed:
- Oven
How To Make Crispy Zero-Carb Onion Rings, Step-by-Step

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
Step 2: Slice a whole onion. Each slice should be approximately 1/2 inch thick. I got six onion slices from one whole onion.

Step 3: Begin layering the onion and cheese. Place a generous amount of cheese on the lined baking sheet, then add the onion slices on top. Lastly, top each onion slice with another layer of cheese.

Step 4: Bake at 400°F for 15-20 minutes. For crispy onion rings, they will most likely need to bake for 20 minutes. Because every oven works differently, the baking time could be more or less than 20 minutes.

Step 5: Cool the baked onion rings so they set up and get crispy.

Step 6: To make the optional bloomin’ onion dip, add the three ingredients to a bowl and mix thoroughly. Serve the sauce on the side with the onion rings.
